Youth-Impacting Minds People And Communities Together is Preston's very own community service organization! Service projects have included Preston clean-ups, raising money for Relay for Life and sponsorship for children to attend camp.
Madyson Watters

Madyson Watters (President)

Madyson is a sophomore Biochemistry and Molecular Biology major on track to attend medical school after undergrad. She is originally from Stockbridge, Michigan, but moved to South Carolina to pursue an education from USC. This year is her first year serving as President of Y-IMPACT and she couldn’t be more excited to start the year off strong. Last year as a member of Y-IMPACT, Madyson was the chair of the Champions for Life committee and helped to raise $2,295 for youth in Zimbabwe suffering from HIV/AIDS. She has always had a passion for service and continues to strive to make the world a better place both throughout college and beyond.

Brooke Brabham

My name is Brooke Brabham and I am a Junior Early Childhood Education Major.  I am from Rock Hill South Carolina and I am so happy to be serving as the Vice President of YIMPACT for the second year.  I cannot wait to see what is in store for this amazing organization.


Natalie Hungate (Secretary)

Natalie Hungate is an International Studies major with a German minor from Charlotte, North Carolina.  Within Preston Residential College Natalie is Secretary of Y-IMPACT and a Preston Ambassador.  Outside of Preston, she is a member of Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for Women and is Chair of the Fraternity Heritage Committee, a member of the Methodist Student Network (MSN) where she helps facilitate greeters and assists new members, and she plays intramural co-ed softball, soccer, sand volleyball, and flag football.  Natalie loves to travel and explore new cultures, meet new people, and learn languages.  In the past 6 months Natalie has been in 5 countries with 4 different groups on 3 continents with 2 suitcases and it has made for 1 amazing experience.  Every day is a new adventure and she cannot wait to see what it has in store!

I love Carolina which is the reason I am involved in things such as the MAPP Program, intramurals, Association of Black Engineers, and of course Y-IMPACT! My name is Caitlyn Ehly, I'm a sophomore exercise science major from Sewell, New Jersey. I have been passionate about service since a young age. I love making an impact on others lives and helping others.

Julia Lang

My name’s Julia Lang and I live in the 3rd east apartments! I’m from Claymont, Delaware and majoring in Sport and Entertainment Management. I worked with Special Olympics in high school so I’m excited to get involved with Y-Impact! My favorite foods are pickles and potatoes and I consider myself to be really funny so come visit me anytime- my door’s open most of the time!


William Carpenter (Campus Outreach Coordinator)

My name is Will, I'm a computer science who was born in Augusta, Georgia.  My parents moved to Aiken shortly after I was born and I've lived there ever since. I went to Aiken High School, and now I'm at USC! In my spare time I like hanging out with friends, playing sports and programming computers! I have a lot of great plans for Y-Impact and this is going to be an awesome year! 

Danielle Massey

Danielle Massey (Local Outreach Coordinator)

Danielle Massey is a second year business student and Prestonite at the University of South Carolina. She will be earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management with a focus in entrepreneurship. With this degree and her experience within Y-IMPACT, Danielle hopes to join the Peace Corps after graduation. Danielle is excited to fulfill her new position as Local Outreach Coordinator. She hopes to create new connections and stronger relationships between Prestonites and organizations in the greater- Columbia area. Danielle loves meeting new people, gaining new experiences, helping others, and coffee; so don’t be afraid to approach her about anything!
